About Cassandra: Welcome! I am a native Hoosier, retired educator, wife of nearly 50 years, "empty nester," and grandmother of seven. This blog features my many and varied interests and activities. My very full life is enriched by my faith, family, friends, living near our nation's capital, a simple 1830 farmhouse in the Helderberg Mountains of upstate New York, a winter home near the Gulf Coast of Florida, and many wonderful travel opportunities.
